Principal – Acquisitions & Development
Mr. Thomas brings more than 20 years of experience in the areas of community & economic development, commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions and real estate development.
Darrell strives to create sustainable walkable communities, leveraging his background in real estate acquisitions, community & economic development and investments. His focus within Ciropic centers on acquisitions, dispositions, real estate development and investments. He leads the business development and strategic teaming efforts in Development in the southeast.
Presently, Mr. Thomas serves on the Board of Advisors for the Epic Community Impact Fund. Most recently he served as Director of Real Estate Acquisitions and Development with Atlanta Housing Authority, spearheading Madison Reynoldstown, a 116-unit affordable housing development, and Bowen Homes redevelopment, a 77-acre site slated for mixed-use development. He is a global member of The Urban Land Institute, serves on The Redevelopment and Reuse National Product Council, as well as the Urban Land Institute Atlanta Livable Communities Council and a Fanon Fellow Leadership Georgia.
Mr. Thomas is an Honorably Discharged Veteran of The United States Marine Corps. He holds a Master’s of Professional Studies from Penn State University (Community and Economic Development concentration). Darrell is passionate about creating thriving walkable and sustainable communities.
